The Story of Benedictus
Benedictus' strong sense of rhythm emerged at a young age when he assembled drum sets from jars and pots, which he would drum on all day long to the delight of his neighbors and parents. When hanging out in the yard with other kids, one of his favorite games with them was pretending to be a rock band - jumping on a clattering metal lid and screaming at the top of his lungs.

His life was in many ways filled with music, ranging from rock and classical music to 70's disco and pop. His great passion was composing and living the life of a musician. However, the career path dictated by his studies led him in a different direction, and his dream of becoming a musician had to yield to the realities of life. He had been brought up with the belief that a secure job was the most important thing to focus on.

When the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent job furloughs came, he, like many others, seized the opportunity to pursue his dreams. After a long hiatus, he dug up his unfinished projects and decided to bring them to a new level. His musical visions were ambitious, and realizing them would require a lot of work.

As the sudden recession caused by the pandemic quickly subsided and work became plentiful again, Benedictus was once again faced with the realities of life, and finding time for music-making was difficult. Throughout his working life, he had felt a lingering dissatisfaction with his life, as his dreams of becoming a musician had not come to fruition. Therefore, he made the decision to prioritize music-making above all else, even while working. He already knew in advance that the coming years would be a constant mental struggle. He had always been a social person and enjoyed life. In addition to the loneliness caused by the pandemic, he felt a strong sense of loneliness due to failures in his love life.

Thanks to his social and true-to-himself mindset, Benedictus managed to find like-minded musicians around him. What fascinated Benedictus about them was not so much their achievements or positions in the music world, but rather the kind of music that is created with them. They are united by their musicality and willingness to continually develop their skills. Together with Benedictus, they aim for the perfect musical outcome. The purpose of this project is to make them masters of their own instruments.

The group that has formed is characterized by a preference for good times spent together and an appreciation of fine things. Good wine and cheese, musical inspiration, and quality time together characterize their culture better than indulging in substances in the gutter with no regard for tomorrow.
